Support needs of care dependent individuals

Survey of general and specific needs for information, assistance and support of care dependent individuals and their relatives

Patient safety in home care services

Factors for and perceived consequences of nursing errors by nursing staff in home care services

Patient safety has increasingly been brought into focus of politics and care practices over the past few years. However, little evidence has been provided yet on nursing errors in out-of-hospital settings. Our study’s aim was to identify factors for and perceived consequences of nursing errors by nursing staff in home care services in correlation with qualification, work experience, working hours and trainings.

Smart@home

Supporting safety and mobility of elderly and care dependent people in their own homes

The use of technical solutions and conventional mobility supporting aids can support the independence of people into old age in their own homes. The aim of our study was to investigate usability, user satisfaction and the correlation between costs and benefits of different built-in smart home solutions and conventional mobility supporting tools in the home of elderly, partially care-dependent tenants (> 65 years).

Projekt WidaP - Creation of a knowledge database for care advice

Care advice is an important pillar in health care

Care advice is an integral part of the care of people receiving care and their relatives in their own home. It is intended to help ensure individual, needs-based, appropriate and high-quality care. People receiving care have different and very individual needs for advice, help and support. Professional nursing advice takes this into account in a targeted manner. An investigation is to show what needs arose among caregivers, their relatives and carers in dealing with COVID-19.

Support for family carers

Relief through qualified care advice

Those who care for people receiving care often need support. Individual care advice should help people receiving care and their relatives to plan and receive the necessary support. Relieving the burden on relatives plays an important role. We show where everyone involved can get help and how you can recognize good care advice.
