The Nursing Research Group of the Geriatrics Research Group at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, coordinated by PhD Sandra Strube-Lahmann, is focusing on research questions dealing with clinical and geriatric nursing care and health services as well as with the development of innovative aids, health and care-related IT solutions. The technologies used are developed jointly with software and hardware manufacturers as well as other research institutions.

The project funding is, amongst others, provided by Federal Ministries (BMBF, BMWi) and foundations (Center for Quality in Nursing (ZQP)). The empirical data generated from the studies are analyzed in detail by doctoral students and published in national and international scientific journals.

The Nursing Research Group is always interested in new project partners for innovative ideas and projects in the field of nursing and health care research. Within the framework of the law recently passed in the German Bundestag for better care through digitalization and innovation (Digitale-Versorgungs-Gesetz - DVG), our institute offers the opportunity to conduct scientific investigations and evaluations of digital health applications in our test laboratories.
